France/ Manche. "Consommons local": an operation to offer gift vouchers to employees

The West Normandy Chamber of Commerce and Industry is relaunching its gift voucher scheme to promote local retailers.

In an economic context marked by the challenges of recovery and the need to support local businesses, the CCI Ouest Normandie 's "Consommons local" operation offers an innovative solution: to offer gift vouchers to employees, to be spent in businesses partnering the scheme.

Launched in 2020, this initiative has enjoyed growing success, reinjecting no less than 1,838,738 euros into the local economy to date.

19,074 beneficiaries

This operation, deployed throughout the CCI Ouest Normandie territory, has benefited 19,074 employees in 443 companies or entities.

The benefits are many: for the companies, it's an opportunity to reinforce their image and their commitment to local economic recovery, while rewarding their employees. In addition, they benefit from an exemption from social security contributions, in accordance withUrssaf regulations.

A simple, effective concept

A particularly commendable aspect of this initiative is that the CCI Ouest Normandie assumes all management costs. Usually borne by retailers, these costs are fully covered by the CCI. Once again this year, the 60,000 euro budget allocated for this purpose confirms the long-term viability of the operation.
